Lionel Messi had a dream debut with Inter Miami, as the Argentine was key in gifting the MLS team the victory against Cruz Azul at the start of the Leagues Cup. His ludicrous last-gasp free-kick goal has left all kinds of impressions on the watching audience across the world after yet another match-deciding, brilliant performance by the world champion.
One of the many recognisable faces who were present at the DRV PNK Stadium to witness Messi’s debut was his former team-mate and great friend, Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero.

At the end of the game, Kun was interviewed by ESPN, where he spoke happily about the fantastic debut that his friend Messi had with the Herons.
The former Manchester City striker stressed that he spoke with Messi for a long time about the possibility of playing together, which did not happen in Barcelona, and he assured that if he had not suffered from heart problems, he would be playing with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
“We always talk about ending up together somewhere, but had things been different, I would be playing with him here in Miami today,” Kun explained to ESPN.
