The American, who admitted on several occasions to be a fan of the Irishman, is no longer his admirer and is ‘switching sides’ for UFC 303.

Sean O’Malley had always said he was a fan of Conor McGregor, and he even claimed that he would be his “successor”. However, some statements by the Irishman accusing him of taking illegal substances made the bantamweight champion no longer want to know anything else about him. “This is when your idols turn rivals,” Suga said to TimboSugarShow. O’Malley hopes Chandler finishes The Notorious at UFC 303.

Ryan Garcia tested positive for Ostarine, a banned substance, in his fight with Devin Haney a month ago, and the news shook the world of contact sports. McGregor made a statement on his X account, which he later deleted, insulting and threatening the boxer. But it didn’t stop there, since he also attacked O’Malley.

Sean O’Malley responds to Conor McGregor going off on him 😂“Oh yea, f*** Conor. I’ve seen a lot of people being like ‘damn, I bet Suga’s sad’… I was more sad than mad…Now I cannot wait to see Michael Chandler absolutely just sleep him. McGregor attacks O’Malley on social media

The Irishman was suspended for six months for consuming the same substance in 2020. “This Ostarine reminds me of Sean O’Malley [who] was on that as well. I don’t like this, I’ll bust you both up, do you want a spar I will set a flight right now for you both for a full-on spar each. Hotel, black forge in the lot. #letssparomalley and #garcia two little Ostarine heads I’ll ride you both like yous are ostriches”, he shared.
